Damn, Ginger. This is so good and raw and relatable as fuck. I feel ya. Big time. Bleed on paper, bleeding passion, bleeding depression, and just plain ole bleeding...I feel that.
I love your honesty and rawness and your talent. (And your sense of humor.)
Keep on keeping on, GC. The last thing you are is alone.
I find that I encounter the most terrifying phantom of all when I write: mediocrity in my own estimation.
That is my burden to overcome.
I ought to know by now, from my stumbling progress in music, that if you wait until you’re good enough before you perform, you’ll never be good enough.
Besides, as Jack Kerouac puts it in “Mexican Loneliness”:
I think a lot of writers struggle with these thoughts. If you’re asking yourself introspective questions like this about your writing I think it shows you care a lot.
I always hated the if you’re not miserable or beating your brains out for a story it’s not worth telling. Your work brings me joy. Keep it up!
Ginger, you know how to get to us! We feel what you write & though I’m no writer or will I ever claim to be, you are getting better & better at helping us feel what you’re going through. In my honest amateur opinion your writing is taking you & us to places we’ve never been. I believe confidence in yourself will get you over the top & even though you feel you’re holding back, we see where you’re going & can’t wait to make it to the peak with you! We all have our moments of holding back. We know it affects you because you care & want to be the best you can be. Chin up & keep climbing…we’re right here with you!
There's nothing wrong with holding a little bit of yourself back it's a safety mechanism that's built in definitely not you being a wuzzy and anything similar to that. You're not the only one having some depression this time of year, I had some last week myself because this holiday season has been different than the last 9 and it's definitely not my favorite either. Church has a lot of good lyrics, us Carolina boys seem to say a lot of what we think and don't usually have filters thank God!
you're one of the most honest writers here. but you do it with humor, to take the edge off the horror. I do that too. you're still bleeding, you're just painting the blood in cute colors sometimes so other people can digest it.

🥰😘 love ya, Steve
I love how real and honest you were here. I think it's a cross many of us creatives bare.
You’re so right. Thank you!
Beautiful. Haunting. Relatable. This is simply why you’re my favorite. So, SO good. 👏❤️🔥
Watts, thank you, thank you 🙏🏻
I would just like to mention the obvious (my specialty): Dudes dig chicks that go all the way.

If I do nothing
Nothing does
So keep going. And I’ll finally get started.
Eventually. ❤️
Wise, wise words, Richard. Thank you 🙏🏻
Ginger, if there is one thing you are not, that's a fraud. You're as real as it gets.
Thank you, friend. ❤️❤️❤️
Breaking my heart, love. Saying what I can’t say. And so beautifully 🥲
My girl! 😍 Thank you so much. I love ya
Hella good.
❤️❤️❤️

Always appreciate you! Another Carolina boy!
I had to go on this prescription for psilocybin for depression because nothing else worked.
Not sure if you can get a prescription or get the real thing in small doses, but it helps with the symptoms.
That and solo music like a piano or a violin. You have to play it loud to hear the way the bow strings slide off the violin strings
Oh I’m on the things. And I do the work. But ya know, you still have moments. ❤️
I like Mike's comment, totally agree. A little humour stops things from getting too bleak. I think you've got more guts than most, Ginger.
Thanks, pal. Means so much coming from you. ❤️

Thanks, Mike 😍
i meant to write “take the edge off the horror”, not “of the horror”..but you get the point :)
